Esteban Garcia Bravo

Esteban Garcia Bravo MFA, PhD is a Colombian American visual artist. His recent public art installations include Exhibit Columbus, Art Alley in Allentown, PA, Trades District Garage in Bloomington, IN; and the Grand Rapids Public Museum. His work involves unique ways of creating engaging public audiovisual sculptures that embed animations, LEDs, and video projections. His scholarly research on computational art has been featured in prestigious art+tech Journals and annual meetings of international organizations such as ACM SIGGRAPH, IEEE VIS, and ISEA among others. Before joining SJSU, he was an Associate professor of Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue University.
